What is your role/background at Quorn?
I joined Quorn in 2012 as a National Account Manager with responsibility for Waitrose, Iceland, Ocado and the Republic of Ireland. I now work as the UK Sales & Operational Planning manager. Prior to Quorn I worked at Mars Petcare for five years.
What are your responsibilities?
In basic terms, my role involves working with my team to try and predict how much Quorn we are going to sell. Our factories use this information to produce enough Quorn to satisfy customer demand, but not so much that we have waste left over.
What do you like most about working for Quorn?
There is a small family business feel about the office where everyone is working toward the same goals. Versus previous companies I have worked for there are fewer people with more responsibility. This means the decisions you make every day really make a difference in the business.
What makes Quorn a great place to work?
At Quorn you get the chance to work in an environment that rewards entrepreneurship and creativity. The company has huge goals and it's good to be a part of a team with big ambitions for the future. There are lots of training opportunities for self-development and an excellent support network should you ever need any help.
What do you need to work for Quorn?
The fast growth of the company, both in the UK and internationally, means that you are presented with different challenges every day. You need energy to work at pace and make quick, informed decisions. You also need to have the ability to collaborate with others internally and externally in order to find quick and efficient solutions every day.
Something you didn't know about me?
I was once an amateur footballer and won the FA Vase with my team Dunston UTS at Wembley in 2012.
